Configuration
Management Resources can be found in several locations ranging from
white papers to templates for configuration management plans. Just
be aware that a good proportion of this material is focused on Software Configuration
management.

remedy and Peregrine are all quite good. Then you find that some of
the independent sites such as the Configuration Management Users
Group also provide a lot of links etc.

(software files, directories, databases)
